my dad helped me make the bike hoop rack in the DIY link. I used it on R.A.G.B.R.A.I., and it worked great! The only con is that it makes the bike a bit wobbly and off-balace, only cause it adds so much more height and length with the hoops added. I had so many people take pictures of my riding my sweet hoop bike :) Highly recommend the rack for your hoops, works very well.

A friend of mine, Travis, made 2 cool things this summer. One is a loop hook on a long pole that attaches to the back of his bicycle. He is currently improving on the idea. He is on this tribe as well as on my friends list. Look him up and email him...he has an abundance of ideas. He also transformed a kid pod into a hoop carrier for when he travels with many hoops to gift. Good stuff. Have fun!

This was my virgin year at burningman. I was amazed at how totally liberating it felt to ride my playa cruiser through the cool of the night with the bump bump bump of dance music filling the air. I felt like I was 10 years old again and I was riding along this big radio dial looking for just the right beat to get my hoop groove on with. First night at around 4am, I caught the bottom of my psihoop on my pedal. I had been balancing the hoop on my shoulder so this little "caught on the pedal" action sent me on a major wobble where I had to make a snap decision....fall on my ass on the bike or risk having my bike fall on the psihoop. The hoop won and my ass lost big time!!!! My first hooping bruise after hooping for a year! Big, bad and beautiful. All colors of black and purple. Kept me from sitting around on my ass all week but it didn't keep me from hooping or off the bike w/ the hoop. I got the hang of it and did fine for the rest of the week. On the playa was fine but I don't think I would ever do it while riding in San Francisco. I am in the process of making a version of Jay's rack now that the rains have come.

My friend just uses zip ties to attach the hoop to the strap of his messenger bag diagonally across his chest and then hooks the hoop under the seat. If you don't have zip ties, you can also make a similar strap out of a bungie cord so that the cord goes across your chest.
